TM Cyriac, Dean

Ar.TM Cyriac serves as the Dean of Academics at DC School of Architecture and Design. Prior to this, he has been engaged with architectural practice and academics, and had been part of the teaching faculty at TKM College of Engineering Kollam and College of Engineering Trivandrum till 1998. TM Cyriac is the founder and principal architect of Environmental Creations. The firm is a prominent pioneer of hospitality projects in Kerala. Environmental sensitivity, heritage conservation, landscape conservation and regional sensitivity are the firm's trademark.

Shankar S Kandhadai Design Chair

An award-winning Architect with over three and half decades of experience in Architecture, Interior Designing and project management. He has worked across all segments of Architecture and infra structure projects, Nationally and Internationally, delivered world class projects which stand testimony to time. re-engineered the construction process, developed designs and detailing that mitigate the inter- dependency in project execution.

Ar Nisha Nixon

Nisha is a Landscape Architect and nature lover, with an ever increasing zeal for sustainability. With three years of industrial and academic experience in different parts of India including SPA Vĳayawada, her areas of interest include climate change and resilience, tropical urbanism, open spaces in cities, multisensory landscapes, to mention a few. She has an undergraduate degree in Architecture(CET-College of Engineering Trivandrum) and Masters in Landscape Architecture(SPA Bhopal).She believes responsible architecture is the way forward in these trying times.

Er Binny Lizia Jose

Binny is an Engineer who is specialized in Structural Engineering and Construction Management and she pursued her Masters Degree from SJCET, Pala. She worked as a Structural Consultant for KIIDC, Kerala before starting her career as Assistant Professor at DCSAAD.

Ar. Regina C George

Regina is an Alumni of GEC, Thrissur and has an interest in practical aspects of academics. She has worked as a project architect in major architectural firms in Kerala. With more than 14 years in practice, she is currently in academics for the past 2 years. Her expertise is in project management consultancy as well. She got masters in Sustainable Architecture from Karpagam University and is now pursuing her PhD.

Ar Achut Harikumar

An Architect and Urban planner with an experience of working on urban scale projects individually and with the government in housing sector. He has engaged in professional practice and researches in housing policy and projects, urban planning, legislations and participatory urban governance. He was engaged with local governments, multilateral agencies, civil society organizations while doing my internships at CSML (Cochin Smart Mission Limited -Kerala). He has been carrying out research work in the field of Land and Housing, Urban Poverty, Slum areas. Completed his bachelors in Architecture from Holy Crescent College of Architecture, Kerala and Masters in Urban housing from CEPT University, Ahmedabad .

Er Geethika Susan Jacob

I am Geethika Susan Jacob. I did M Plan from Trivandrum engineering college and worked as urban planner in IIA, Trivandrum and Centre for Public policy and Research. From 2017 onwards, I am into teaching.

Ar. Ria Miriam John

Ria Miriam is an architect and a town planner, with a Bachelor degree in Architecture from College of Architecture, Trivandrum and a Masters degree in Town Planning specializing in Housing from College of Engineering, Trivandrum. She has been in the industry and academics since her under graduation in 2017. She has been working in her firm, Design Build as a ‘Partner Architect’ from 2017 where she has been involved in designing and construction of chapels and mainly small-scale residential projects. She has also been involved in Government flood relief and rehabilitation projects as part of ‘Rebuild Kerala Mission’ and formulation of Parking policy for Kollam Municipal Corporation and has a great passion for teaching and her research interests include sustainable development and energy eﬃciency.

Ar. Jaim G Koippallil

Jaim G Koippallil, is a passionate architect and an urban designer who completed his under graduation from College of Architecture, Trivandrum and did his master's in Urban Design from College of Engineering, Trivandrum. With more than half a decade of professional experience, his current focus is User Experience Design. He also has a keen interest in 'Tactical Urbanism' and believes even the smallest thing can have a big impact on people and the society. He also has a wide vision towards livability issues in informal settlements which forms the pivot of his research. In his academic career, he attempts to make strenuous efforts to instil thoughts in student's minds, on how the entire design process should emanate with the people and improve the quality of life. He has strong insights on the outreach of complex urban design concepts, in the simplest ways for the people to understand better.

Er. Merin Nikitha Anil

Merin Nikitha Anil is a young and enthusiastic Environmental Engineer who completed her graduation in Civil Engineering and did her master's in Environmental Engineering.She started her career with one of the top Environmental firms in Kerala, The Green Method Engineering where she got to explore more on different sustainable solutions to varied environmental issues. Merin always focuses on energy eﬃcient designs and helps students to connectarchitecture with nature. Apart from teaching Merin finds time for her passion 'Writing' and she's a blogger too. She believes that teaching is the best way to raise a socially responsible human being for a brighter future.

Ms. Rani Joby

Rani is a GATE qualified Computer Science Engineer who is passionate in teaching students computer usage, which includes basic equipment use, software programs, web design and development, Internet safety and digital technology. Deep technical expertise is essential to this position, the ability to effectively construct lesson plans and lab-based activities to establish and grow student's technical understanding and knowledge.

Ar. Sayed Salahuddin

Architecture, Interior Design and VFX Design is his key expertise. Internationally he has studied and volunteered abroad, in Germany, Copenhagen and Dubai. He has a B.Arch. degree from MOSA & an International Masters in Interior Architectural Design from CEPT University and IMIAD transcript from Hochschule für Technik, Stuttgart Germany. His expertise include Hands-on Teaching, Digital Technology and Professional Skill Enhancement.

Artist Jigesh Kumar

Passion in Contemporary Art by engaging the practices of Painting or Drawing, practicing Creative Sculptures, Site specific Art or Land Art installations and participation in several Contemporary Art exhibitions as well.

Ar. Graceson

After obtaining bachelors and masters degree in Architecture, Graceson has been enthusiastically involved as practicing Architect, teaching Architecture and mentoring students. He is fascinated in understanding and conducting research on Spatial Analysis, and sustainable development, using advanced available technologies. Other than designing, he is interested in his passion of writing Articles and Photography.

Er. Stephen Grigorious

Stephen is a practicing structural engineer having 3 years of experience. With more than 30 projects pan Kerala, he imparts his practical knowledge into academics. He has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Structural Engineering and Construction Management.

Ms. Titty Annamma Abraham

Titty Annamma Abraham is an interior designer who has one and half years experience in furniture and interior design and has been an educator for more than 3 years. She has undergraduate degree in interior design (SJ College,MG University) and diploma in interior design.

Ar. Amol Shankar Magdum

Ar Amol Magdum is an ardent professor, have a wide experience of twenty years in Architectural, Interior consultancy as well as Valuer, Turnkey projects-civil & interior, Project management and experience of Seventeen years in teaching. His Doctoral research work explores the aspects for the betterment of open space designing.

He has been invited time to time for Guest lectures to groom the Architecture aspirants.

In his view architecture education needs a balanced approach of theory and practice.

Correspondingly, give insights to its students into grounded design practices and thoughtful approach towards current trends as well as enable them to envisage future needs. This would enhance their approach towards application of architecture and design knowledge gained by them. Balance of realistic, inclusive and innovative outlook towards architecture and design philosophy is inculcated.

Therefore, he recommend the idea of a multi-disciplinary approach towards architecture education which includes community-based activities, advance design practises with an emphasis on futuristic needs. International exposure for students is significant to understand global trends.

He reinforce the idea with conviction that an architect’s effort should be to make human lives better with the help of innovation and technology.

Ar. Sreekanth Sasidharan is a graduate from National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He is a goal oriented Professional having a decade long industry experience in varied multinational firms from Saudi Arabia, Maharashtra, Delhi and Kerala. He's also an enthusiastic academician whose experienced calculated risk taking academic experiments have helped students realize their potential and bring out their best qualities. Computational Design, Product Design, Digitally Orientated Design, Strategic Design, Photography and Anthropology are his other Areas of Interests. He also serves as the Principal Architect for the firm The Neo Indian, whose prime focus is about exploring cost effective alternate Construction and Design solutions to under privileged middle class society.

Ar. Benny Kurian is an Architect from the College of Engg. Trivandrum. Having passed out in the year 1994, he has been in the construction industry for 7 years and over 20 years in Teaching. He has experience designing Medical College, Schools and Library . His academic interests are in Geometry, Graphics, Sculpture, Painting and programming. He believes and convinces students that sketching and drawing in pencil and pen facilitates the outburst of new ideas. "However we must update our digital drawing skills”.

Ar. Gayathri S Raj, is an ardent architect, urban designer and an enthusiastic academician. She has completed her bachelor’s from ISA, Bangalore and Master’s from BMS School of Architecture, Bangalore. She started her career as an Urban Designer with Ameya Designs, Hyderabad. As a team head, she experimented with various strategies to achieve thriving design solutions for urban scape projects. Besides teaching, she is a dedicated artist, who always finds time to fill colors on a white canvas. She also has a massive interest in Research, Writing short articles and Textile designing.

Ar. Divyaprabha graduated Bachelors in Architecture, 2015 and Masters in Landscape Architecture, 2021 from Bharath University, Chennai. She has worked majorly in academics for 5 years in well reputed colleges of Bangalore and Chennai. Her interest lies in Urban Landscape and user oriented design approach. Ar. Mamtha is a passionate conservation architect, heritage enthusiast and a young academician. She earned her post graduate degree in Architectural conservation from School of Planning and architecture, Bhopal and her graduate degree from University of Calicut. She is an ardent researcher in architectural anthropology and cultural landscapes of Kerala and also has varied experiences in the field of architecture and conservation across India.

Ar. Mujahid Habib did his B. Arch and M. Arch from Jamia Millia Islamia University New Delhi. He has worked in various projects under different architects and firms exploring fields like Landscape, recreation, healthcare, planning and finally did his masters in Recreation Architecture. As a Recreation Architect who is the first national champion in Parkour, he believes that extracurricular activities play a crucial part in developing the personality of any students and encourage students to do so. He is passionate about passing on his knowledge to the students and believes that learning is a lifelong process specially for mentors who teach.

Ar. Zeba Husain is an enthusiastic architect and academician. she has completed his bachelor's degree from AKTU University and master's from JMI University (DELHI) in recreation architecture. she started her career as an architect in modern architectural planning firm where she got proficiency in government rules and regulations regarding different land-use planning. Her area of interest is to give knowledge to students in a better and creative way by organizing extra curricular activities that bring out the true essence of architecture in them.

Ar. I S Durga is a warm hearted architect who has completed her Bachelors in architecture from Meenakshi College of Engineering Chennai and her masters from College of Engineering Trivandrum. She started her career at GITPAC where she was a part of few central govt projects. She has been an academician for 2.5 years. Besides being an architect she is also a passionate dancer. Her interests include cost effective technology, climatology.

Dr. Christopher Gnanaraj S

S. Christopher Gnanaraj completed his under-graduation in B.E - Civil Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore and post-graduation in M.E. Structural Engineering from the Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Erode. He is having ten years of teaching experience from various institutes. He has published 18 papers in impact factor / Scopus Indexed International Journals. He obtained his doctorate in the area of research of Self-Compacting Concrete. He was also awarded for teaching competency and student mentoring from the IQAC department of Kalasalingam University. His areas of expertise include Strength of Materials, Engineering Mechanics, Design of concrete structures, Water supply Engineering, and Irrigation Engineering.

Arch), 2020 and bachelor's from College of Architecture Trivandrum in 2016 having a professional experience of more than 2 years and teaching experience of 1.5 years. Worked as Project Architect in a reputed structural design firm, Signature Engineering Solutions based in Trivandrum which enabled him to develop software and project management skills and was involved in residential and commercial projects. Having his own practice for 5 years, Line & Sketch Design Studio in Kollam, focuses on innovative design approaches to residential and commercial projects. Passionate towards professional work, teaching and extra curricular activities like dancing and sports, he believes in creating a energetic environment for a creative mind.

Ar. Muhammed Sayyaf AC

Muhammed Sayyaf A C is an Architect and Urban Designer with around 3 years of professional experience in Architectural and Urban design practice. He graduated in the year 2017 and worked for a leading architectural firm for a year at Calicut before pursuing his post-graduation in Urban Design from School Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (SPA Delhi)
Afterwards, he started his practice UTHARAM Urbanism Architecture Based in Calicut. His holistic approach towards Architecture and Urbanism has made him acknowledge the Socio-ecological and spatial perspective in design.
Apart from being a faculty at DCS AAD, VAGAMON, Sayyaf is also a practicing Architect cum Urban Designer. Moreover, he is presently a Director of Co Earth Foundation, an NGO which focuses on Socially and Environmentally responsible Architecture. Also, he is a Member of National Working group (Community) of Institute of Urban Designers, India (IUDI)
